Point Blanc, The Graphic Novel

Antony Johnston, an award-winning British author known for his post-apocalyptic comic series Wasteland, adapted the Point Blanc novel to comic format.[5][6] The artists of the graphic novel are known as Yuzuru and Kanako, two sisters who have co-illustrated many titles including The Five Ancestors series and all the current Alex Rider graphic novels.[7]

Investigations into the "accidental" deaths of two of the world's most powerful men have revealed just one link: both had a son attending Point Blanc Academy, a school for rebellious rich kids run by the sinister Dr. Grief and set high in the French Alps. Armed with a new collection of gadgets, Alex must infiltrate the academy as a pupil and establish the truth about what is really happening there... Featuring full-colour, action-packed, Manga-style art, this graphic novel is ideal for encouraging reluctant readers.[8]

One of the main differences the graphic novel contains is the appearance of Sabina Pleasure.[3] She is first seen in the Stormbreaker graphic novel, while within the original series she isn't introduced until Skeleton Key.[9]

In January 2022, Horowitz indicated that he hopes to start writing a fourteenth novel (titled Nightshade Revenge[1]) later in 2022, and that it will be published in 2023.[2][3]

Anthony Horowitz is the author of the number one bestselling Alex Rider books and The Power of Five series. He has enjoyed huge success as a writer for both children and adults, most recently with the latest adventure in the Alex Rider series, Russian Roulette and the highly acclaimed Sherlock Holmes novels The House of Silk and Moriarty. Kanako and Yuzuru, two sisters from Japan, collaborate to produce manga-style art for comics and graphic novels. Brilliantly visualised, these graphic novel versions of the best-selling stories of boy spy Alex Rider add a fantastic new dimension to the original and terrific for getting even the most reluctant of readers to enjoy the experience of reading. Following the death of his guardian, Alex is forcibly recruited into MI6 and so finds himself off on some seriously hair raising missions in which he faces terrible danger and the real risk of death. In the second in the series, PointBlanc he is taken from his own school and sent to infiltrate the mysterious Point Blanc Academy. Can he uncover the horrible secret behind what is going on? Alex Rider is a perfect hero.

Reviewer #3: The study by Trapani et al., "Structure-guided mutagenesis of the capsid protein suggests that a nanovirus requires formed viral particles for systemic infection," provides novel and intriguing information on FBNSV. The paper reports the structure of the virion using cryo-EM, experimentally confirms the importance of residues Ser 87 and Ser 88 in the formation of dimers, and hypothesises about how systemic spread works. Despite how challenging it is to deal with ssDNA viruses from nanoviruses, the authors have done an admirable job of uncovering their structure and propagation. The work is well done, and most of the conclusions are supported by the findings. All of the significant issues were brought up by the prior reviewers, and the authors have convincingly responded. The only point I want to raise is that the structural work on BBTV CP (ref. 27), which reported similar structural results, needs mention where the authors compare FBNSV with AYVV (pages 19, 20). Yes, a lot of unanswered questions remain, and I am sure the authors will take them up subsequently. However, the present work is no less significant, and it definitely deems publication in Plos Pathogen. I congratulate the authors on their tremendous efforts in comprehending nanovirus capsid assembly. 041b061a72
